Is umeboshi the nemesis of fatty liver?

There is no such thing as the nemesis of fatty liver being umeboshi. Fatty liver is equivalent to Chinese medicine accumulation, dystocia (pain in the area of the ribs) and other diseases, umeboshi is not used for the treatment of accumulation, dystocia and other diseases alone. Umei is sour and astringent in taste, calm in nature, belonging to the lung, large intestine, liver and spleen meridians, with astringent antidiarrheal (by enhancing the astringent function of the intestines to alleviate diarrhea), astringent lungs (astringent lung qi), the production of fluids, and the efficacy of roundworms. Therefore, it can be clinically used for the treatment of prolonged cough, prolonged diarrhea, prolonged dysentery, dry mouth and tongue due to deficiency heat, and vomiting and abdominal pain caused by roundworms. Patients with fatty liver who have the above symptoms can use umeboshi under the guidance of a doctor’s diagnosis. The adverse effects of umeboshi are not clear, and umeboshi should not be used by patients who feel superficial evils (evils on the surface of the muscles) or who have solid heat in the body. For patients diagnosed with fatty liver, standardized treatment is recommended. During the period of medication, a light diet should be taken and proper exercise should be performed. It is necessary to use the medicine under the guidance of a professional Chinese medicine practitioner’s diagnosis, and it is not recommended to use umeboshi blindly on one’s own.
