Cervical spondylosis is a common disease in life, but what we call “cervical spondylosis” is actually a generic term. According to the different clinical manifestations caused by the involvement of different tissues, cervical spondylosis can be divided into seven types: cervical, radicular, spinal cord, sympathetic, vertebral artery, esophageal and mixed types. 1. Cervical cervical spondylosis is caused by long-term single posture of the head and neck, resulting in strain on the neck muscles, ligaments and joints. The main symptoms of cervical spondylosis are easy fatigue of the neck, neck straightness and pain, inability to read and write for a long time, and often feeling tightness and stiffness of the neck in the morning and inflexibility of activities. 2.Neurogenic cervical spondylosis is the most common type of cervical spondylosis, which is caused by cervical spine degeneration and hyperplasia, stimulating and compressing the cervical nerve root. It mainly manifests pain and numbness in the head, neck, shoulder, arm and hand, and the numbness mostly appears in the fingers and forearm. 3.Vertebral artery cervical spondylosis is also a common type of cervical spondylosis, which is caused by insufficient blood supply to the vertebral artery on the basis of cervical spine degeneration, and causes a series of diseases. At the onset of the disease, patients have varying degrees of vertigo, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, diplopia, tinnitus, deafness and other symptoms of cervical spondylosis. 4.Spinal cord cervical spondylosis is caused by direct compression of the cervical spinal cord due to backward protrusion of the cervical intervertebral disc and osteophytes of the vertebral body. When the spinal cord is compressed, the patient may experience unilateral or bilateral numbness, soreness and weakness in the upper or lower limbs, and may have difficulty moving and unstable walking in severe cases. 5.Sympathetic cervical spondylosis This type of cervical spondylosis is mainly caused by degenerative degeneration of the cervical spine and stimulation or compression of the sympathetic nerve in the neck by osteophytes. As the sympathetic nerve is stimulated, it causes dysfunction of the internal organs, glands and blood vessels it innervates. It mainly manifests itself as cervical spondylosis symptoms such as self-induced head and occipital pain, dizziness, migraine, panic, chest tightness, cold limbs and low skin temperature. 6.Esophageal cervical spondylosis, also known as “esophageal compression cervical spondylosis”, mainly refers to a large amount of bone growth in the back of the esophagus and the front of the vertebral body, causing compression on the esophagus. The most common symptom is difficulty in swallowing, and even painful swallowing. 7.Mixed cervical spondylosis refers to cervical intervertebral disc and intervertebral joint metamorphosis and its secondary changes, which stimulate two or more related structures such as adjacent spinal cord, nerve root, vertebral artery and sympathetic nerve after compression, triggering various clinical symptoms such as pain, dizziness, tinnitus and weakness of limbs. It is important to find the right cause of cervical spondylosis treatment, if you have neck pain and other conditions to go to regular hospitals and institutions to find the right cause, do not blindly go to do massage massage, know that there are many nerves and blood vessels in the neck to the brain, in the case of unknown causes, rash massage massage is likely to aggravate the symptoms or even threaten life.
