Circumcision is a common urological procedure, and the procedure is similar from hospital to hospital.
The principle of surgery is much the same for all circumcisions. Circumcision is the natural shedding of the excess foreskin through the ligature line to allow ischemic necrosis.
Post-operative care 1, povidone iodine and warm water 1:1 dilution fully moisten the wound for 3-5 minutes and then to blow dry with a hair dryer, three times a day. (Key core) 2, the day of surgery when the anesthesia will be painful, the tolerance of pain will be different for each person.
3. Do not take a shower on the day of surgery. You can start showering on the next day of surgery. Sexual intercourse is prohibited for one month after surgery. At least one month for complete wound recovery.
4.Remember to ensure that the wound is sufficiently dry and blow-dry.
5.Come to the hospital three days – five days after the surgery for follow-up and removal of the outer ring. (For example: Tuesday surgery, Thursday, or Friday to remove the outer ring, and then the next Thursday to remove the inner ring.)
6.Come to the hospital for a follow-up appointment seven days after the removal of the outer ring, and remove the inner ring. The removal of the ring can be delayed appropriately, without affecting the results of the surgery and recovery. (You don’t need to register again to come to the hospital for a follow-up appointment to remove the ring!)
7.No need to worry too much if the following conditions occur: ① Scabs fall off and the wound is not completely healed. As long as the full change of medication, keep dry most people can completely grow well; ② longer wound with yellow liquid oozing, do not worry, need a certain amount of time can slowly heal.
③ Long-term foreskin edema, most people will exist this phenomenon. Need time to subside, avoid strenuous exercise.
8. If the following conditions occur, come to the hospital promptly: ① High fever, chills. Intravenous antibiotics are needed.
② Accidental slippage of circumcision thread with heavy bleeding.
9.According to my habit, give the patient a 6-day dose of oral prophylactic antibiotics. Take it continuously for 3 days from the day of surgery. The day of the removal of the inner ring, another 3 days of continuous dosing. The vast majority of patients can avoid intravenous drip antibiotics altogether.
