The best treatment for various scars

Scars, scientifically known as keloid scars, not only severely affect a person’s appearance, but in severe cases also affect the function of the patient’s limbs and five senses. So, how to minimize the impact of scar on a person? 1. To determine whether the scar affects the movement of the limbs or deforms the five senses, if one of the two or both are present, the scar should be treated surgically by applying various surgical procedures such as simple excision, excisional reshaping, flap, skin graft, expander, etc. to remove the dysfunction or deformation of the five senses. 2. To determine whether the scar is located on the head and face and seriously affects the patient’s appearance, if so, surgical methods can be chosen, but surgical methods may produce another scar while repairing one scar, the feasibility of surgery should be evaluated by a professional doctor and whether the surgery can benefit the patient. If surgery is not possible, a non-surgical integrated approach can be used to reduce the scar. 3. To determine whether the scar is in the proliferative phase, we define the proliferative phase as six months after the injury and after the surgery. The proliferative scar is unstable and should not be treated surgically. Pressure treatment methods can be applied, such as silicone diaphragm, pressure band. 4. However, the final treatment should be determined by a professional doctor’s interview or by providing photos.
