Chinese medicine’s understanding of the pathogenesis of fatty liver

In recent years, the number of patients with fatty liver is increasing due to poor lifestyle habits such as overeating, alcohol consumption, lack of exercise and irregular work and rest, and it is especially common in fat people. According to Chinese medicine, fatty liver belongs to the accumulation of evidence. As the Nei Jing says: “The accumulation of liver is called fatty gas”, so it is also called fatty gas disease. It refers to the accumulation of excessive fatty qi in the liver, resulting in dysfunction of the liver and unfavorable drainage. Liver accumulation is not a major disease, and if it can be treated by Chinese medicine in time at the early stage of the disease, it is usually effective quickly. However, if left untreated for a long time, the accumulation will lead to a serious disease, which needs to be given sufficient attention.
