How to measure farsightedness reserve

The reserve value of hyperopia needs to be checked by dilated optometry to know. Hyperopia reserve refers to the physiological hyperopia, generally after birth, both eyes will have about 300 degrees of physiological hyperopia, with age, physiological hyperopia will gradually decline with the lengthening of the eye axis, generally around 10 to 12 years of age, physiological hyperopia disappeared. When physiologic hyperopia disappears too quickly, there is a lack of reserve for hyperopia, which is a sign that myopia is likely to develop later in life. In order to measure the physiological hyperopia, that is, the value of the hyperopic reserve, we must do a pupil dilation optometry examination, the ciliary muscle fully relaxed state for optometry, in order to obtain accurate results. Some medical institutions do not dilate the ciliary muscles and then perform an optometric examination to obtain an inaccurate result of the hyperopic reserve. To measure the reserve of hyperopia, take your child to a regular medical institution and ask a medical professional to perform the test.
