Potassium permanganate, also commonly known as PP powder, has the appearance of small black-purple solid particles, easily soluble in water, and the aqueous solution is rose-red. It is a strong oxidizer and can kill bacteria. It is a disinfectant that is always available at home. Potassium permanganate bath is mainly used for local disinfection and sterilization; configuration is generally 1:5000 ratio; clinical also has potassium permanganate topical tablets, generally 1 tablet configuration 400ML water. The concentration of potassium permanganate must be good, too high easily burns the skin; because of the slow speed of oxygen release from potassium permanganate, the soaking time must reach 5 minutes to kill bacteria; when preparing the water solution, use cool boiling water, hot water is easy to make it decompose and fail; in winter, you can use warm water to avoid getting cold. When the solution turns brownish-purple in color, it loses its disinfection effect. Therefore, it is best to use the solution as it is prepared.
