What is scar growth

In normal people with damaged skin, after a period of healing, the wound leaves only a small mark. However, in patients with scarring, the scar continues to proliferate even after the skin damage has healed (often caused by a pimple, prophylactic injection site, surgical incision or minor trauma). The proliferative scar protrudes from the skin surface and has an irregular shape, which can be round, oval or crab foot-like, with uneven height and appearance, and can be flushed and congested with a firm texture. Patients may experience burning and itching when the scar is in the active or growth phase. The symptoms can be exacerbated when the ambient temperature increases, when the body temperature rises during activity, when emotions are aroused, or when some spicy and irritating foods are eaten. The growth often continues for several months or years before gradually producing degenerative changes, indicating that the height of the rise decreases, the color turns dark, congestion subsides, and becomes soft, but some patients also become stages of scar growth, continuous growth, serious can affect life.
