Hyperopic reserve cannot be improved by training, and children need to develop good eye habits to avoid myopia.
If physiologic hyperopia decreases prematurely, it is called hyperopic reserve deficiency, which suggests the possibility of myopia in the future, and there is no way to improve the hyperopic reserve through training or other means.
Hyperopia reserve refers to physiologic hyperopia. Generally, infants have about 300 degrees of physiologic hyperopia in their eyes when they are born, and with the gradual lengthening of the eye axes as they grow, the physiologic hyperopia will gradually decrease, and will disappear completely by the age of about 12.
Children with insufficient reserve of hyperopia need to develop good eye habits, avoid eye fatigue, and do more outdoor sports to delay the reduction of reserve of hyperopia and avoid myopia.
It is recommended that children with myopia should consult a doctor in time to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions.
