Deviated septum surgery is not minimally invasive. It is a nasal endoscopic procedure to correct the patient’s deviated septum with the main goal of improving the patient’s nasal ventilation. Sometimes the septal deviation is a congenital factor, and sometimes it is the result of an acquired impact. If the deviation of the septum is obvious, surgery can be considered. The traditional method of surgery is to do septal correction surgery under direct vision, and there is no nasal endoscope. With the development of technology, the septum correction surgery is now mostly done with nasal endoscope, which can clearly see the specific location of the deviated septum, remove the deviated bone more precisely, and the patient will have better nasal ventilation after the surgery. If the patient’s nasal congestion is obvious, he or she must go to the hospital for active examination and symptomatic treatment after diagnosis.
