Cervical spondylosis is a common disease among middle-aged and elderly people, and spinal cord cervical spondylosis is the most serious one. Numbness and weakness of the extremities occur due to spinal cord compression, which seriously affects patients’ life and work. The main method of treatment for spinal cord cervical spondylosis is surgery. Traditional surgery of the cervical spine is done under the naked eye, while microsurgery is done under an operating microscope. 1, spinal cord type cervical spondylosis – anterior discectomy interbody fusion The advantages of microsurgery for cervical spondylosis: (1) good cold light source illumination, bright light; thorough hemostasis under high magnification microscope, less bleeding, clear field of view, which facilitates surgical operation. (2) Less trauma, less complications, safer surgery. The microscope magnified field of view increases the tissue clarity, hierarchy and accuracy of operation, and the use of small and fine microscopic instruments for small and gentle operations reduces the irritation to the spinal cord and reduces the risk of surgery. It is especially suitable for patients with long spinal cord compression and severe compression. (3) Adequate decompression of the spinal cord for better curative effect. Thorough decompression is the key to the efficacy of cervical spine surgery. Using the good illumination and magnification function of microscope, cervical microsurgery can clearly detect and remove small soft and hard spinal cord compression, and can clearly reveal the posterior edge of vertebral body, posterior longitudinal ligament and the gap between spinal cord dura, safely remove the posterior longitudinal ligament, and decompress more adequately than traditional cervical spine surgery. 2.Neurogenic cervical spondylosis – posterior cervical keyhole decompression myelotomy Small incision in the posterior cervical spine, only a window of about 1.3×1.3 cm between the diseased vertebral plates is needed to remove the herniated disc tissue without internal fixation, and the surgical result is excellent.
