The difference between a hot cold and a cold cold

Hot and cold colds are the same as colds, but they are very different, and they are often referred to as wind-heat colds and wind-cold colds in Chinese medicine. Before the onset of a cold, there are often latent symptoms such as high body temperature, sore throat, dry stool and yellow urine, and after the onset of the cold, there are symptoms such as thirst, sweating, heartburn, coughing up pus and yellow sputum, which is sticky and not easy to cough up. Physical signs include increased heart rate and elevated body temperature. Cold flu is common in the cold season of autumn and winter, and can also occur in people who blow air conditioners for a long time. The onset of cold flu is characterized by runny nose, coughing thin white sputum, light fever, no sweating, often with headache and body pain, and fear of cold. There is also a difference between the two in terms of treatment. A cold is usually caused by a viral infection, and in the case of a hot cold, the virus replicates and spreads rapidly because the whole body is in a hotter environment. As the disease progresses, bacteria take advantage of the opportunity to enter, further aggravating the systemic inflammatory response and raising the body temperature. Therefore, antiviral treatment is needed in the early stage of a hot cold, and if the body temperature does not drop in the later stage, it indicates a combined bacterial infection, which should be treated with antibiotics at the same time. If the cold cold progresses slowly, you can first drink more hot water and take some vitamin C effervescent tablets to enhance the resistance, and if it still cannot be controlled, add ribavirin antiviral treatment as soon as possible. There is a big difference between hot and cold colds. When a cold occurs, you should first distinguish which type of cold it is, and then choose the appropriate treatment.
