How long does it take to heal from a strep infection

  How long it takes to cure a streptococcal infection is related to the severity of the infection, with mild to moderate infections cured in about 1 week and severe infections usually cured in about 2 weeks.  Streptococcus is a purulent coccus, gram stain positive, mainly through droplet transmission, can lead to respiratory tract infections, ear, nose and throat infections, skin and soft tissue infections, scarlet fever and other diseases. Patients usually cannot heal themselves and need to be given antibiotics. Penicillin antibiotics are the first choice of treatment for streptococcal infections, and patients can also choose 1st generation cephalosporin antibiotics, while patients who are allergic to penicillin can be treated with erythromycin antibiotics. Patients with mild to moderate infections can be treated with oral medications, which can usually be cured in about 1 week, while those with severe infections need to be treated with infusion therapy, which takes longer to treat, about 1-2 weeks.  In addition, patients with streptococcal infection should be treated in isolation, bed rest during the acute period, eat easily digestible food and drink more water.
