Anesthesia for facial muscle spasm surgery

General anesthesia or local anesthesia is often used in clinical practice, and both types of anesthesia have their advantages and disadvantages. Patients under general anesthesia have no pain or other sensations during surgery, no fear of surgery, no irritability due to pain or discomfort, safe operation during surgery, easy position change, and more favorable management of the airway during surgery because of intubation, and the use of intraoperative emergencies. In contrast, patients with local anesthesia have less reaction after surgery, and HFS can be seen to disappear after dealing with the responsible vessel during surgery, while performing facial neurophysiological examination is good for observing and finding abnormal wave patterns, which is good for finding the responsible vessel, and dealing with the responsible vessel is more reliable, but there is a surgical risk that the patient does not cooperate.
