What causes chest pain?

There are more reasons that can lead to chest pain, which may be related to chest wall lesions, cardiovascular lesions, lung lesions, tracheal lesions and other factors. 1. Chest wall lesions: chest wall abrasion, chest wall contusion, chest and back muscle strain, rib fracture and other chest wall lesions may lead to local soft tissue injury, thus causing swelling and pain. 2. Cardiovascular lesions: angina pectoris, pericarditis, myocarditis, myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular lesions may cause crushing chest pain and dyspnea due to myocardial ischemia. 3. Lung lesions: Pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung cancer and other lung lesions can also cause chest pain due to invasion of the nerves in the pleura or inflammatory changes in the thoracic cavity. 4. Tracheal lesions: acute bronchitis, bronchopulmonary cancer and other tracheal lesions can cause chest tightness leading to chest pain, severe cough and other symptoms due to lesions invading the lungs. Patients need to go to the hospital immediately when chest pain occurs, if not actively treated may affect the prognosis, and may even lead to death.
