Does HPV infection require hysterectomy?

HPV infection normally does not require hysterectomy. HPV, also known as human papilloma virus, has now been confirmed to be more associated with cervical cancer in women, especially the high-risk HPV infection. If the patient is found to be infected with high-risk virus, cervical cytology is also required. If there is a problem with cervical cytology, colposcopy is needed to see if there are any heterogeneous epithelial cells and blood vessels on the cervix, and the tissue is taken for pathological examination. If there are lesions in the cervix, a conical hysterectomy is required, so the vast majority of patients do not require hysterectomy.
