Regarding the typology of cervical spondylosis, there are slight differences as far as the relevant books are concerned. The preferred site of cervical spondylosis is mostly between cervical 4 and 7. In terms of classification, the disease is divided into the following types only according to the site of predilection: joint dysfunction type, bone and joint damage type, soft tissue damage type and mixed type. Atlanto-occipital fascial contracture type of cervical spondylosis is also not uncommon in clinical practice. In May 1984, the National Cervical Spondylosis Expert Conference divided cervical spondylosis into cervical, radicular, spinal, vertebral artery, sympathetic and mixed types according to clinical manifestations. This basically unified the typing and diagnostic standards of cervical spondylosis in China.
