Astigmatism and farsightedness are two separate types of refractive errors that are not very comparable. Both astigmatism and farsightedness can be mild or severe in themselves, and if you compare astigmatism and farsightedness, it is like whether it is hypertension or diabetes that is severe, in fact both can cause serious damage to a person’s body. But with good treatment, it can be at a stable level, or relatively mild. If astigmatism reaches 300º or more, it can have a serious impact on vision, causing a dilated state of vision and fatigue. If hyperopia exceeds 300º, it will also be more severe, or moderately high, and will cause amblyopia in children at an early stage, which will develop into irreversible amblyopia if early intervention is not carried out. Therefore, both astigmatism and hyperopia should be taken seriously, and intervention and treatment should be given when they have not progressed to a serious level.
