part1.
What is electronic bronchoscopy?
Bronchoscopy was applied to the clinic in the 70s, and after years of development, it has matured and become more and more widely used as an important tool for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases. The main body of electronic bronchoscope is composed of optical fiber, which has the function of good conduction of images. It can conduct the morphology in the bronchus to the eyepiece or monitor, so that medical personnel can intuitively diagnose and treat the lesions of bronchus and lung. What are the advantages of electronic bronchoscope?
1. slim (<6mm), soft and bendable
2. Good illumination and large visualization range.
3. Easy to take material, less pain for patients.
4. Easy and safe to operate, generally tolerable.
part3.
What can tracheoscopy do?
The above advantages of bronchoscopy allow medical personnel to perform bronchial lung biopsy and treatment under direct vision, such as diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, removal of foreign bodies, collection of intrapulmonary specimens, stent placement, treatment of bronchial stenosis, etc.
part4.
Which patients need electronic bronchography?
Electronic bronchoscopy needs to be considered in patients with the following conditions.
Medical history of.
1. chronic cough.
2. unexplained hemoptysis.
3. unexplained hoarseness of voice.
4. recurrent pneumonia at the same site.
Signs: limited fixed dry rales.
X-rays.
1. tracheobronchial stenosis or obstructive pulmonary atelectasis, pneumonia, emphysema.
2. unexplained pulmonary shadows.
3. non-absorption of pneumonia.
4. diffuse lesions of the lungs.
5. unexplained hilar and/or mediastinal lymph node enlargement
The following treatment is required.
1. removal of bronchial foreign bodies
2. removal of abnormal secretions from the trachea, including sputum, blood clots, etc.
3. placement of stents to treat large airway stenosis
4. local injection of chemotherapeutic drugs or antibiotics
5. trans-tracheoscopic treatment of benign and malignant airway tumors with argon knife, etc.
Other: etiological diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases of lung or bronchus, etc.
part5.
What tests are required before diagnosis or treatment by electronic bronchoscopy?
1. routine blood tests, four coagulation tests, liver function.
2. chest X-ray or chest CT.
3. tests for infectious diseases such as hepatitis B, syphilis, AIDS, etc.
4. Electrocardiogram is required for patients older than 60 or with heart disease.
part6.
What are the possible serious complications during electronic bronchoscopy?
Allergy to anesthetic drugs; laryngeal edema; laryngeal and bronchospasm; cardiac arrest; cerebrovascular accident, hemorrhage, etc.
The latest acquisition of four sets of the world’s most advanced electronic bronchoscopy equipment (OLMPUS-CV260) by the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Shandong Qianfo Mountain Hospital, which has a fine insertion, large flexibility, strong brightness, broad field of view, and all visible bronchial lesions above the sub-segment, and significantly improved patient comfort. It can be widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of tracheal and bronchopulmonary diseases and pharyngeal diseases. At the same time, our department has a “zero-booking” system, no need to make an appointment in advance, just come and do it. We are dedicated to serving our patients with the utmost enthusiasm.
