Surgical treatment for myopia requires that it be done at least after adulthood. If surgical treatment is done too early, it can easily lead to myopia reappearing after surgery. Therefore, under normal circumstances, it is required that the myopia should be stable for more than two years after the age of 18, and within these two years, the myopia should not increase by more than 50 degrees, in which case the myopia should be considered for treatment by surgery. The current surgical methods used to treat myopia include two types: the first, corneal refractive surgery, including excimer laser surgery and femtosecond laser surgery; the second, intraocular refractive surgery, including IOL implantation and lens replacement for crystalline eyes, all of which can be used for myopia correction. Therefore, if myopia exists in your eyes, you need to go to a regular hospital for a detailed examination and choose the most suitable surgical option for you.
