How to distinguish between endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial cancer

The difference between endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial cancer mainly lies in clinical manifestations, ultrasound, diagnostic scraping and other auxiliary examinations. 1. Clinical manifestations: endometrial hyperplasia is mainly characterized by abnormal menstruation, including prolonged menstruation and increased menstrual flow. In endometrial cancer, besides abnormal menstruation, vaginal discharge of blood or plasma, lower abdominal pain, anemia, emaciation and so on. 2. Auxiliary examination: (1) Ultrasonography: ultrasonography of endometrial hyperplasia can show thickening of endometrium. Ultrasound of endometrial cancer often shows uneven echogenic area in the uterine cavity. (2) Diagnostic scraping: endometrial cancer can be seen as cancerous lesions in diagnostic scraping histologic examination. (3) Measurement of serum CA125: CA125 may be elevated in some endometrial cancer patients. If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time for active diagnosis and treatment.
