Pityriasis rosea goes through several stages to heal

Pityriasis rosea usually goes through three stages to get well. The recovery process of pityriasis rosea mainly includes three stages, which are early, middle and late stage. Early stage skin lesion performance is isolated round or oval light red spot of trunk or proximal end of limbs, the diameter can reach about 2-3 cm, commonly known as mother spot or precursor spot, some patients can appear low fever, loss of appetite, fatigue and lymph node enlargement and other system symptoms. The middle stage manifests as more clearly bounded subspots appearing on the trunk as well as the proximal end of the extremities, with fine scales visible on them, and the long axis of its lesions is parallel to the skin lines, often accompanied by different degrees of itching. Because pityriasis rosea has self-limiting, most of the lesions gradually fade in the late stage, some of the rash fades after leaving pigmentation. The cause of pityriasis rosea is unknown, usually may be related to infectious factors, immune dysfunction and environmental factors.
