To observe the efficacy of transendoscopic biliary stent drainage in the treatment of malignant obstructive jaundice [Abstract] Objective: To observe the efficacy of transendoscopic biliary stent drainage in the treatment of malignant obstructive jaundice. Methods: To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 14 patients with malignant biliary obstruction treated with transendoscopic biliary stent drainage for malignant biliary obstructive jaundice. Results: Twelve patients were successfully cannulated, with a success rate of 85.71%, including 2 cases with metal stents and 10 cases with plastic stents. The jaundice gradually subsided in the 12 patients with successful stenting, and the symptoms such as skin pruritus were significantly relieved or disappeared, and the total serum bilirubin decreased from (230.85±83.81)umol/L to (121.88±52.27)umol/L at one week after surgery (P<0.01); transaminases improved significantly. Conclusion: Transendoscopic bile duct stent drainage is an important treatment for malignant obstructive jaundice with definite efficacy.
