Is hyperthyroidism a result of “gas”?

”Anger” is a common term used by the public for mental stimulation that causes disease, and many hyperthyroid patients often describe getting sick after being “angry” when they visit the doctor. Medical research shows that long-term trauma and strong mental stimulation, such as grief, panic, stress and anxiety, can often trigger hyperthyroidism. It has been found that the prevalence of hyperthyroidism increases significantly in war years and natural disaster areas. Why can mental stimulation trigger hyperthyroidism? The exact pathogenesis is not known. Some people believe that the thyroid gland of such patients is already defective and does not normally develop hyperthyroidism, but when they encounter mental stimulation, the disease is triggered. It is also believed that mental stimulation is the initiating factor of hyperthyroidism. Based on the above-mentioned views, avoiding mental stimulation, eliminating tension and improving self-protection are crucial for everyone, especially for patients suffering from hyperthyroidism.
