Symptoms of chest tightness caused by myocardial ischemia must be improved by systematic and regular treatment. If severe coronary stenosis exists, coronary interventions, such as stenting or drug balloon dilation, or coronary bypass surgery, combined with drug therapy, are required. If the stenosis is not severe and does not require coronary revascularization, it can be treated with medications alone, such as nitrates, anti-platelet aggregation drugs, statin lipid-lowering drugs, beta-blockers and ACEI drugs.
