It is recommended to treat pigmented nevus with CO2 laser to reduce the possibility of intraoperative bleeding and postoperative infection, and the new ultra-pulsed CO2 laser treatment for pigmented nevus is quick to recover with little thermal damage to the surrounding skin. In general, the treated area of pigmented nevus should not touch water within 2 days of treatment, scab will be formed in about 3 days, and the scab will fall off in about 7 days, if smaller pigmented nevus usually can not be seen after 7 days, larger pigmented nevus will have light red new epidermis after peeling off, and there may be shallow concave, but it will be fully recovered after 1-2 months. Some moles are deeper (such as intradermal moles) and have the possibility of regrowth in 2-3 months, then they need to be removed by elective surgery.
