What is the treatment for antisocial personality disorder? Can it be cured?

Antisocial personality disorder is difficult to treat. Current treatment methods include psychotherapy and medication.
Psychotherapy is primarily through talk, such as psychoanalysis.
The US Food and Drug Administration has not approved any medications for the treatment of antisocial personality disorder. Sometimes doctors will prescribe medications such as antidepressants, atypical antipsychotics or mood stabilisers for symptoms such as impulsivity, anxiety or depression, as needed.
Doctors need to take the appropriate treatment based on the individual patient’s receptiveness to treatment and the severity of their symptoms.
