What measures can be taken to prevent leptospirosis if contact with infected animals or infected water is unavoidable?

For contaminated water sources and stagnant water, disinfect by spraying with bleach and other effective drugs; drain field water before harvesting rice or put pesticides on to treat it; wear protective clothing when working and try to wear long boots and rubber gloves; clean up the excrement of domestic dogs promptly and disinfect by treating with chlorine containing disinfectant solutions (e.g. 84 etc.) for 1-3 minutes to prevent contamination of the environment; wear gloves when cleaning up urine and faeces of domestic dogs.
