Symptoms of muscle strain in the neck

The clinical symptoms of cervical muscle strain mainly include the following: First, soreness and swelling pain in the neck: the soreness and swelling pain is mainly caused by the excessive accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles, which stimulates the nerves. Second, limited cervical spine activities: When strain occurs in the neck muscles, there will be obvious tension, spasm and stiffness in the muscles, which will limit the range of motion of the cervical spine, resulting in limited flexion and extension activities and rotation activities. Thirdly, cerebral blood supply insufficiency: strain injury to the neck muscles will cause changes in the physiological curvature of the cervical spine, which will easily lead to straightening of the cervical curvature and insufficient blood supply to the vertebral artery, and patients will have clinical symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, chest tightness, panic and memory loss. Therefore, it is important to diagnose and treat strain in the neck muscles as early as possible in order to achieve significant relief of clinical symptoms and prevent serious adverse consequences such as cerebral insufficiency of blood supply. Patients should usually strengthen the exercise of neck muscles, enhance the stability of the cervical spine, and avoid excessive fatigue of the neck muscles.
