How long does it take for a cesarean section scar to heal?

C-section scars generally take one and a half to two months to heal completely. The formation of a large incision from a cesarean section requires suturing, which can speed up the healing of the scar to some extent. Superficial wounds generally heal in 5-7 days after surgery, and scars can basically heal in about a month and a half, but the subcutaneous tissue is cut in multiple layers to heal more slowly, and the healing time may last until about two months. Also, frequent late nights and poor rest during the postpartum period with children can easily affect the healing of scars. Before the scar is completely healed, it is normal that there may be local fluid oozing or crusting, so don’t worry too much, but make sure to keep it clean and dry to avoid infection. Before the scar is healed, do not exercise vigorously to avoid the re-emergence of fissures in the anastomosed wound, which will affect the healing time and is not conducive to the recovery of the body.
