How to check if you have diabetes

Diabetes mellitus is diagnosed by tests such as fasting blood glucose, random blood glucose, two-hour postprandial blood glucose or oral glucose tolerance test. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by chronic hyperglycemia. Diabetes mellitus is diagnosed by the following criteria: fasting blood glucose ≥7.0 mmol/L, or 2-hour post glycemic load blood glucose ≥11.1 mmol/L, or random blood glucose ≥11.1 mmol/L, accompanied by three more and one less symptom (more drinking, more eating, more urination, and weight loss). Diabetes is also considered to be diagnosed when fasting blood glucose ≥ 7.0 mmol/L or two-hour postprandial blood glucose ≥ 11.1 mmol/L is monitored on two occasions not on the same day without symptoms of diabetes. If diabetes mellitus is clearly diagnosed, it needs to be actively treated under the supervision of a doctor.
