The three misconceptions of prostatitis treatment

Prostatitis is a common disease in male and reproductive medicine, multi-infection, for some patients is also difficult disease, at present, the understanding of prostate etiology, mechanism is still unclear, so the treatment methods are diverse. At present, there are three misconceptions in the diagnosis and treatment of prostatitis. The first misconception: excessive publicity. In fact, prostatitis, like other male diseases, has its own scientific process of occurrence, development and treatment, and after standard treatment, it is possible to have an effect. The second misconception: over-diagnosis. The chronic prostatitis patients may be accompanied by sexual dysfunction and fertility disorders. The majority of them should be diagnosed through objective testing. The actual fact is that you can find a lot of people who are not able to get a good deal on a lot of things. The third misconception: over treatment. The reason for this is that the cause of prostatitis is currently unclear, and there are differences in each individual patient, so a comprehensive approach to chronic prostatitis should be taken, but it should not be over-treated, for example, long-term reliance on antibiotics. Some patients use antibiotics blindly in large quantities, for long periods of time, repeatedly, resulting in more and more drug-resistant bacteria and poor results. The therapeutic effects of invasive treatments (such as prostate injections, closures and urethral irrigation) still differ in academic circles and should be weighed against the pros and cons and carried out with caution, especially for patients with fertility requirements, because there is damage to the prostate and urethra, fibrosis of the prostate tissue and narrowing of the urethra occur, making the sperm drainage ducts obstructed, leading to impaired sperm discharge and resulting in infertility.
