The hair transplantation technique involves transplanting one’s own hair follicles into the hair loss area to improve the appearance. Hair grafts are called embryos and can be classified according to the number of hairs they contain: 1) micro-embryos, containing 1-2 hairs; 2) small embryos, containing 3-5 hairs; 3) large or standard embryos, generally containing more than 6-7 hairs. Different transplantation methods are needed for different patients with hair loss, depending on the patient’s bald area, the area of the occipital hair source and hair density, and the degree of post-operative results required by the patient. In general, micro hair transplants (containing 1 hair) are used for the forehead hairline, eyebrows and beard, and small hair transplants are used for the frontal and top areas behind the hairline. FUT (follicle unit transplant), a diamond-shaped flap is extracted from the back of the head, the hair follicles are separated out and transplanted to the hairless area. Advantages: It is suitable for people with large or severe hair loss, and can take up to 3000 units at a time, and the postoperative effect is ideal. The price is the lowest among the three, and the result is ideal. Disadvantages: After the surgery, a scar will be left in the donor area, which is the size of a palm line. But it will fade away after a few months.
