Can cleft lip be cured?

Cleft lip can be cured because it only affects the patient’s pronunciation, appearance and, more or less, diet. Most people have cleft lips mainly to improve their appearance, which is frankly not much different from normal cosmetic surgery. It is mainly through the surgical method to restore the appearance of the patient’s lips to be basically similar to normal. We should have an idea that because there is a certain deformity in the lip itself, if we want to restore the normal lip shape by doing surgery, it will be difficult to achieve the exact same shape according to the current medical level and the doctor’s technology. This is because no matter how the surgery is done, there will be some traces left behind and the appearance will be different from the normal lip shape. It is also the goal of the surgeon to make the child’s appearance identical to that of a normal person. However, there is a certain range of human contact, about 1 meter, and no one will stare at the patient’s appearance very closely. Therefore, at least within the range of normal human contact, no abnormalities can be seen and the surgery is basically successful.
