  How long does it take for a burn to heal depends on the depth of the burn and requires a case-by-case analysis.  First-degree burns are burns that only affect the epidermis, the skin surface is flushed, the skin is intact, and no blisters are formed, which can heal on their own without infection in about 1 week, leaving no visible marks. Second degree burns include superficial second degree and deep second degree, superficial second degree is the injury to the epidermis and part of the dermis, there is a large blister formation, usually about 2 weeks can heal by itself, after healing will leave pigmentation; deep second degree is the injury to the epidermis and most of the dermis, if there is no infection, about 3-4 weeks can heal by itself, after healing will leave scars. Third-degree burns involve the whole skin and even the muscles, with scabs on the surface, which usually cannot heal by themselves and require timely treatment at the burn department or dermatology department, with specific recovery time related to treatment measures and care.  After the occurrence of burns can first rinse with cold water to reduce the local temperature to prevent further injury to the skin, but also to a certain extent to reduce the pain caused by burns.
