1. BCG vaccine The injection site is on the left arm, and you can still bathe as usual every day after the injection. 10~14 days after the injection, the injection site will be a small red nodule, slightly painful and itchy, but no fever. Parents do not need to rub or bandage their babies, but should be careful not to rub the pustules, and if they accidentally break them, just wipe them dry and keep them dry. On average, the scab will dry up in 2-3 months and will fall off, leaving a small scar. A hard lump may be found in the ipsilateral armpit or a swollen lymph gland in the neck, which mostly has no effect on the baby’s health, but if the diameter exceeds 1cm, you should go back to the hospital for examination. 2.Hepatitis B vaccine Occasionally, local inflammatory symptoms such as redness, swelling, slight heat, and hard nodules may appear at the injection site, and these symptoms are usually mild and disappear within two days after the injection, and sometimes a mild fever (anal temperature below 38.8℃) may occur, which usually subsides within 48 hours after the injection. In addition, the baby is also prone to emotional disturbance, crying, and reduced appetite. 3.Japanese encephalitis vaccine usually has no special reaction. 4.Diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus vaccine The injection site may be red, swollen, painful or lumpy, and the whole body may have a slight fever, which usually disappears in 2-3 days. If the injection site is red and painful, parents are advised to massage it with a hot towel. It is important to prevent the baby from getting cold and to drink plenty of water. If the fever is above 38.5℃, please give your baby the antipyretic medicine prescribed by your doctor. If the fever reaches 39.5℃ (anal temperature), you should send your baby to the doctor as soon as possible. 5.Oral polio vaccine Oral vaccine rarely causes adverse reactions. The sugar pill must be taken with warm water, and hot water is prohibited. Do not give your baby food or water for half an hour before or after taking the oral vaccine. 6. Measles, mumps, and German measles vaccines Most of them have no special reactions. A few babies may have a slight fever or a small rash 5 to 12 days after the injection, but it will disappear soon. If you have a fever for 1 to 2 days after the injection, you should send your baby to the doctor immediately. Take care of your baby for 5 to 12 days after the injection to prevent colds. You can let your baby drink more water and go to public places less often.
