Can jaundice be cured?

Most jaundice is curable. The majority of jaundice is due to liver and biliary disease. As long as the primary disease is treated, the jaundice in the body can gradually improve. In some people, jaundice is caused by impaired liver function that prevents the body from metabolizing bilirubin, which can be treated with liver-protecting and enzyme-lowering medications such as thioprostenol. This medication can improve jaundice by removing free radicals from the body while promoting liver function recovery and increasing the regenerative capacity of liver cells. Some people with jaundice caused by biliary obstruction or gallstones can be treated with anti-inflammatory and cholagogic tablets. Anti-inflammatory tablets can dilate the bile ducts and promote the excretion of bile, and the jaundice will subside after the bile duct obstruction is improved. For patients with severe gallstones, surgery can be used if necessary.
