Don’t let obesity take away the right to be a mother!

Nowadays, it is popular to say important things 3 times, so today I will also catch up with the fashion and talk about weight loss. In the course of outpatient treatment, we often encounter many patients who are severely overweight, resulting in infertility. There are a lot of reports about obesity causing infertility, and a lot of scientific studies have proved that obesity can lead to menstrual disorders, ovulation disorders, diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia, which seriously affect people’s health. Obesity also has a great impact on the success rate of IVF, causing patients to be insensitive to ovulation-promoting drugs, difficulties in egg retrieval and transplantation, as well as causing changes in the tolerance of the endometrium, which affects the embryo’s implantation. It is no exaggeration to say that “obesity has deprived many people of the right to motherhood.” There are many reasons for being overweight, but the most important reason is that we eat more and move less. Many endocrine diseases in women can also lead to obesity, the most common is polycystic ovary syndrome, such patients often weigh 20% to 40% or even 60% above normal weight, resulting in irregular menstruation or even amenorrhea, non-ovulation caused by infertility. So how to lose weight? Many patients have told me, “Dr. Fu, it is too difficult to lose weight, I also want to lose ah, I have eaten very little, but why I still can not lose weight.” In fact, it is very difficult to say that it is difficult to lose weight, it is easy to say that it is easy, because we know that the reason for obesity is more in and less out, so weight loss must be less in and more out, that is, we say “control your mouth, open your legs.” So how do you do it? In general, I often tell patients in the clinic to reduce the amount of food, such as eating less or not to eat the meal, vegetables can be eaten, but not greasy food. If you are worried about vitamin deficiency, you can take an oral multivitamin, such as 21 gold vitamins, and SunCure tablets. In addition, after eating dinner at night, go to activities for 1 to 2 hours, mainly aerobic exercise, such as running, rope skipping, hula hoops, swimming, sit-ups are available, according to their personal preferences, choose the right way to exercise. Because everyone’s life and work habits are different, we are also difficult to develop a weight loss program to meet the needs of everyone, so as long as we grasp the principles, according to their own habits, reasonable arrangements for diet and exercise, so that they can certainly achieve the purpose of weight loss. I hope this short article is helpful for obesity-induced infertility patients, and I hope everyone has a good body, a good family and a good child!
