There are many causes of arm pain, including bone, joint, muscle, nerve and soft tissue lesions; mechanical injuries; and illnesses elsewhere in the body that involve the arm during an attack. Joint pathologies include osteoarthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, and epicondylitis of the humerus. Skeletal lesions are mainly fractures in various parts of the arm. There are also muscle strains, soft tissue contusions, burns to the arm, chemical burns to the arm, and whiplash.
