Most people can tolerate the pain of wisdom tooth extraction because anesthetic is injected before the extraction and additional anesthetic can be considered if they feel significant pain during the extraction, so they generally do not feel severe pain.
It is usually recommended to avoid eating within 2 hours after tooth extraction, and try to eat liquid or semi-liquid food, such as porridge and soup, within 24 hours. As each person reacts differently after surgery, for most people they can usually eat basically normally on the second day.
