Tamoxifen (TAM) is one of the commonly used drugs for endocrine treatment of breast cancer, and patients need to take it continuously for 5~10 years. Fatty liver is one of the common side effects of this drug, with an incidence as high as 62.3%. Clinical manifestations include gastrointestinal symptoms of varying degrees of weakness, poor appetite, nausea, vomiting and right upper abdominal pain, which may be accompanied by hepatosplenomegaly, jaundice and, in severe cases, ascites and hepatic encephalopathy, which affect breast cancer patients’ successful completion of endocrine therapy and seriously threaten their health. There are no uniform treatment guidelines and standard effective therapeutic drugs. Exploring the treatment options to prevent and treat tamoxifen-induced drug-induced fatty liver is an urgent clinical problem with important clinical significance and the need for research. Based on the experience of Mr. Guan Youbo, a famous veteran TCM hepatologist, in the treatment of fatty liver and combined with the characteristics of TCM evidence in breast cancer patients, the method of dredging the liver and strengthening the spleen, resolving phlegm and dispersing stasis was used to prevent and treat tamoxifen (triamcinolone) related fatty liver, and good efficacy was achieved in the preliminary observation. Treatment plan: Traditional Chinese medicine treatment + dietary guidance + exercise guidance.
