Adult laryngeal hemangioma is a relatively common benign tumor of the larynx, unlike pediatric laryngeal hemangioma which has a tendency to be self-limiting and requires medical intervention. The usual interventions are surgery, laser, and phenylephrine treatment. Surgical procedures are very traumatic, and lasers are also somewhat traumatic and may have an impact on laryngeal function, while pindamycin treatment is not traumatic and is less dependent on surgical equipment. However, treatment of large hemangiomas with pinyamycin alone is not sufficient.
