Myopic eyes can bungee jumping

Whether myopic patients can bungee jump depends on the degree of myopia to determine. Generally speaking, myopic patients can do bungee jumping if the degree of myopia is below 600 degrees, i.e. low to moderate myopia. But if more than 600 degrees, belongs to high myopia, is not recommended to do bungee jumping such high-intensity sports. If highly myopic patients have to do bungee sports, they must confirm whether their retinal status is in normal. Most people with high myopia have longer than normal eye axes, which in turn leads to a weaker retina. When doing stressful sports, such as bungee jumping, the retina is prone to fissures, hemorrhages and detachments, increasing the risk of blindness. In addition to bungee jumping, certain sports that cause large pressure differences between the inside and outside of the eye are also not recommended for highly myopic patients, such as basketball, soccer, lifting heavy objects and other strenuous sports, which can cause changes in intraocular pressure and thus affect vision, and should be avoided. If myopic patients want to exercise, they can choose some more everyday sports, such as running, walking, swimming, etc. Do not use your eyes excessively, such as watching TV or playing with electronic devices for a long time. You should also go outdoors more often and look at trees, flowers and other green plants to relax your eyes.
