Simple hematuria may be IgA nephropathy. The causes of hematuria are divided into physiological and pathological aspects, and the pathological ones include IgA nephropathy and so on.
1. Physiological: hematuria may occur when urine is contaminated by strenuous exercise or menstrual blood, and will usually return to normal after rest and menstruation.
2. Pathologic: including urinary tract infection, urinary stones, IgA nephropathy and so on. Urinary tract infection causes inflammatory reaction in the mucosa of the urinary tract, edema, bruising, destruction of small blood vessels, and hematuria; stones lead to tissue destruction and erosion resulting in bleeding and formation of hematuria.
Some patients with IgA nephropathy show asymptomatic urinalysis abnormality, mostly found during physical examination, often showing asymptomatic hematuria with or without proteinuria.
Patients with hematuria alone should go to the hospital in time to see a doctor, under the guidance of a professional physician to clarify the cause and timely treatment.
