Lymphedema treatment post-operative oncology

Patients with breast cancer or pelvic cancer lymphatic dissection are often combined with lymphedema, which manifests as swelling of the upper limbs, hands, lower limbs and feet. The edema may be unilateral or bilateral, and the gradual increase of edema may lead to hardening and painful skin, which may affect limb movement, walking, squatting, sleeping and daily life. Previously, the patient wore elastic stockings and pneumatic compression aids that did not completely relieve the symptoms of lymphedema. The treatment of lymphedema requires manipulation and negative pressure suction device to make the whole body lymphatic circulation smooth and drain the macromolecular proteins deposited in the tissue interstices back to the lymphatic vessels. During the consolidation stage, lymphedema drainage can be interrupted to maintain the therapeutic effect. At present, our department has introduced lymphedema drainage equipment to carry out postoperative lymphedema drainage for breast cancer and cervical cancer, and the treatment effect is very remarkable.
