Can you sit for long periods of time with a low placenta?

Try not to be sedentary during pregnancy if the placenta is low lying. In a normal pregnancy, the placenta is attached to the anterior, posterior or lateral wall of the body of the uterus. If the placenta is located in the lower part of the uterus and the edge of the placenta is extremely close but does not reach the inner cervical opening, it is called a low lying placenta. Pregnant women who have a low lying placenta should avoid the following actions, running, jumping and other strenuous exercises. Consider stopping the pregnancy if there is heavy or repeated bleeding. For pregnant women who need to sit or stand for a long time due to work and other reasons, it is recommended to perform appropriate activities, elevate the lower limbs and perform moderate lower limb exercises in between sitting and standing to promote blood circulation and return, which will help the placenta find a better position. In case of low lying placenta during pregnancy, you must pay more attention to rest, avoid being sedentary, and exercise appropriately to let the blood return fully, which will help the placenta return to its normal position.
