Can breast discharge heal on its own?

Breast overflow is a common symptom of breast disease and can be divided into physiological overflow and pathological overflow. Physiological overflow refers to the phenomenon of lactation during pregnancy and lactation, bilateral nipple overflow caused by oral contraceptives or sedative drugs and unilateral or bilateral small amount of overflow in postmenopausal women. Pathological overflow is defined as intermittent, persistent, from months to years of nipple overflow from one or more ducts on one or both sides under non-physiological conditions. The cause of breast discharge varies, as does whether or not it can heal on its own. If a patient is weaning and has breast discharge, the discharge will gradually return to the breast and will improve, i.e., it will heal itself. However, if the breast overflow is accompanied by redness and swelling of the breast skin and increased skin temperature, then mastitis should be considered and the overflow can be relieved after mastitis is treated. If, in addition to breast overflow, it is accompanied by nipple indentation, breast erosion and foul odor, it is more likely to consider breast tumor, and this overflow situation is impossible to heal itself. The treatment is as follows: 1. Pseudo-overflow: When dealing with breast overflow, you should first distinguish between real and fake overflow. Pseudo-overflow can be treated locally. 2.True overflow. (1) Treatment of non-neoplastic overflow is often caused by ductal dilatation of the breast, cystic hyperplasia of the breast, etc.. The former can be treated by medication or surgery, while the latter can be treated by herbal medicine, medication or surgery. (2) Treatment of tumor overflow is often caused by intraductal papilloma or intraductal papillary carcinoma. The former should be treated by local segmental excision, while the latter should be treated by radical mastectomy for breast cancer. Strengthening your immune system is very helpful for breast overflow. A good diet and personal hygiene habits are all ways to increase your immunity.
