How to prevent the occurrence of dental caries

Dental caries is a dental disease with a long history and has become a worldwide problem. In general, because it does not endanger people’s lives, it is usually not paid much attention to, but its incidence is still relatively high, especially among teenagers and children. Dental caries, which is commonly known as “worm teeth”, is a bacterial disease of the hard tissues of teeth. So how does it form? At present, most dentists believe that tooth decay is caused by the interaction of three factors: cariogenic bacteria, food and tooth susceptibility. When the teeth are not well aligned or bitten together, food debris will easily stay or get embedded in the gap between the teeth, then if you do not pay attention to oral hygiene, the bacteria in the mouth will take advantage of the situation and “settle” on the teeth, “have children”, erode the teeth and form caries. Tooth decay will be formed. If it further invades the tooth pulp, it will cause severe toothache, and the pain will increase whenever it encounters cold, hot, sour or sweet, so that you can no longer “eat when you want to eat”, not only can’t eat, but also affect the rest and work. So, how to prevent the occurrence of tooth decay? To prevent tooth decay, you can start from the following simple “three moves and two styles”. The first move: keep the mouth clean and control the growth of bacteria. The unclean mouth is the fertile soil for the growth of bacteria, so good oral hygiene is one of the main measures to prevent tooth decay. Insist on brushing teeth after three meals every day, which can effectively reduce and control the growth of bacteria. Teenagers should not eat snacks before bedtime, especially sweets, so as to avoid the fermentation of sugars stuck on the teeth and make the teeth damaged by erosion. Second trick: strengthen dental exercise to improve the anti-caries ability. Fluorine is an element necessary for the body to carry out normal metabolism and promote health, it plays a major role in the strength of teeth and also inhibits the growth of bacteria. There are many ways to supplement fluoride in teeth, among which using fluoride toothpaste is an easy and effective way. In addition, you can also rinse your mouth with sodium fluoride solution by rinsing with 0.1% sodium fluoride solution once a week, or 0.2% sodium fluoride solution once every other week, or 0.05% sodium fluoride solution once a day, each time 10 ml, rinse hard for 1 minute, and do not rinse your mouth or eat for 30 minutes after rinsing. The third trick: change the diet structure, control the intake of sugar. Food is getting more and more fine, and the sugar content is increasing, such as chocolate, milk sugar, refined cakes, etc. These soft and sticky foods stick to the surface of teeth, providing sufficient “food” for cariogenic bacteria. Therefore, try to limit the intake of such foods, and eat more fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat and other foods to promote the health of teeth. In life, while performing the above three tricks, you can also use the following “two styles” at the same time: the first style: the posture of brushing teeth. The correct posture of brushing is to brush the upper teeth from the top downward, the lower teeth from the bottom upward, brush the upper and lower teeth bite jaw surface, place the toothbrush on the bite jaw surface, a little force along the horizontal direction back and forth, up, down, inside, outside strive to brush all, try to do “three three three three”, that is, three meals a day within 3 minutes of brushing, each brush time of not less than 3 The second style: the way to clean teeth. The second style: the way to clean teeth. The best way to remove food from between teeth and clean plaque from adjacent surfaces is to floss. To floss, pull out about 50 cm of floss from the floss box. Wrap the ends around the middle fingers of both hands, leaving 5 cm in between to clean the teeth. Manipulate the floss with your thumb and index finger, slide the floss into the tooth first, then floss against the adjacent surface of the tooth, slide the floss into the gingival sulcus and gently scrape from the gingival margin toward the crown 4-6 times, then clean the adjacent surface of the other tooth in the same way. Cleaning can be done every night before bedtime. Once you have mastered the “three tricks and two styles”, tooth decay will definitely be avoided by you. And your life will be much better. ……
