Precautions for egg retrieval
1.Please strictly follow the injection time notified by phone for the night injection (Aizaw).
2. One day before the egg retrieval, it is forbidden to have intercourse, both spouses should take a shower and pay attention to washing the vulva. The male partner should pay special attention to washing the external genitalia. The female partner should wear clean underwear and bring her own sanitary napkins on the day of egg retrieval.
3. If intravenous anesthesia is not chosen, eat and drink a small amount of water in the morning of egg retrieval. Please do not drink milk, soy milk or other liquid food that may cause gas. It is recommended that you bring your own food and drinks to eat after the procedure. If you choose intravenous anesthesia, you should abstain from food and water after 23:00 on the day before egg retrieval, and you should not eat until afterwards.
Please do not use cosmetics, perfume, nail polish; please remove jewelry (necklace, ring, earrings, bracelet, watch, etc.), dentures, hairpieces, contact lenses
4. On the day of egg retrieval, both spouses should arrive at the hospital at 8:00 am to wait for the operation, bring their ID cards, marriage certificate and original birth certificate.
5. Before egg retrieval, inform the doctor again whether you have a history of drug and food allergies, whether you have a history of applying anesthetic drugs, and whether you have any abnormal reactions after using anesthetic drugs. Inform the doctor if you have a history of epilepsy and syncope.
6. Before entering the operating room, please urinate on your own and empty your bladder as much as possible. You may experience abdominal distension, pain and other discomfort during egg retrieval, but it is usually tolerable. If you experience any significant discomfort, please inform the surgeon promptly and be careful not to move your body during the procedure.
7. Eat and drink plenty of water after egg retrieval, and do not allow the temperature of food and drinks to be too low. Urinate promptly after surgery. Pay attention to any abnormalities in the color of the urine and inform the medical staff in time if there is any abnormality.
8.After egg retrieval, the ovaries are still enlarged, so you should pay attention to avoid strenuous movements, turn over gently and turn around slowly.
9. Take antibiotics and luteal support medication as prescribed by the doctor after surgery.
10. If you experience any abnormalities such as obvious abdominal distension, nausea, abnormal urination or heavy vaginal bleeding after egg retrieval, please contact the hospital promptly.
Notes for embryo transfer
1. The embryo transfer will be decided according to the embryo situation and the patient’s condition on the scheduled transfer day. Couples should arrive at the hospital at 8:00 am according to the scheduled date and bring their ID cards, marriage certificate and original birth certificate.
2.Embryo transfer is performed under the guidance of abdominal ultrasound, patients need to hold urine, please drink a lot of water after waking up in the morning on the day of transfer so that the bladder can be filled up quickly after arriving at the hospital. It is recommended to bring 3-4 bottles of sweet drinks to the hospital for backup.
3.Please urinate promptly after transplantation and avoid holding urine.
4.After transplantation, rest for one hour and leave the hospital.
5.Continue to apply luteal support medication after transplantation. Use early pregnancy test on the thirteenth and fourteenth day after transplantation to determine whether you are pregnant or not, and return to the hospital for blood test on the fourteenth working day after transplantation to clarify whether you are pregnant or not. Please do not stop the luteal support medication until you get the blood test result.
6.After transplantation, you can live normally and rest properly, but you should not be absolutely bedridden.
7.If you have any abnormalities such as abdominal distension and nausea after transplantation, please contact our hospital in time.
