What are the symptoms of facial nerve palsy?

  Facial nerve palsy, as a disease that seriously affects patients’ life and social life, is receiving more and more attention. Facial nerve palsy can be divided into two types: central facial palsy and peripheral facial palsy.  It is characterized by paralysis of the facial expression muscles, with difficulties in raising the forehead, frowning, deepening the nasolabial folds, and showing the teeth, etc. At rest, the forehead lines on the affected side are not obvious, the eyebrows and upper lids are drooping, the nasolabial folds are shallow and flat, the corners of the mouth are low, and the nose and mouth are pulled toward the healthy side due to weak muscle tone.
